On May 4 we announced to our camper parents that we have cancelled summer camp this summer. We have decided that we can not safely open camp this year. Rather than risk our campers, their families and our staff, we have made this difficult decision. This is the first time since 1910–so through two world wars, the great depression and so many other challenges–that we will not have a summer camp.
We know that the summer camp experience benefits our campers. Since there is no such thing as a virtual summer camp, we are working on programs for our campers later in the year. We will be contacting our summer camp families throughout the year with news and updates on events for your children and family. During the summer, we will only contact those parents who have registered their children for summer camp. If you were planning to register but haven’t done so yet, please follow through and register your child so that we have your information for summer camp next year. All of our summer camp mailing list will receive seasonal news from House In The Wood. Please unsubscribe if you are no longer interested in Summer Camp E-mails.
LOOK for us on social media and in our new monthly summer camp newsletters. We will see everyone NEXT SUMMER in a safer world.
In the meantime, take care, stay safe, stay healthy and GO OUTSIDE,
Ms. Val, Executive Director
